There are currently long delays on the M40 between Junctions 3 and 2 following 'seperate accidents', Thames Valley Police have reported.
All four lanes had been closed to allow recovery work, with lanes two, three and four having just reopened.
Thames Valley Police Road Policing tweeted: "Lanes 2, 3 & 4 have now reopened on the M40 southbound. Junction 2 off slip still closed.
"There are still very long delays in the area. Please avoid the area."
