A man has been convicted following a vicious attack with a hammer in Denham, after demanding money from the victim.
Victor May, 53, from North Orbital Road, Denham, was found guilty of grievous bodily harm, robbery and possession of an offensive weapon by unanimous jury yesterday (29 July) at Aylesbury Crown Court.
On March 8 last year at approximately 7.25pm, May attacked a 39-year-old man in Foxmoor Court, North Orbital Road, with a hammer.
The victim protected his head during the assault and sustained a broken arm. He was later discharged from hospital.
May demanded money from the victim during the assault.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Andrew Melton said: “Victor May lured the victim to a secluded location and used a hammer in a vicious and unprovoked attack.
“It resulted in a broken arm and months of medical treatment.
“I would like to thank the victim for his support throughout this investigation.”
May is due to be sentenced at Aylesbury Crown Court on September 3.
