Generous pub regulars have raised £3,000 for Windsor's hospice at a fund raising golf day.
The event at Richings Park Golf Club was organised by Tony Murphy, licencee of the Alpha Arms pub in Iver.
There was close to 40 golfers, 18 sponsors and a pub full of regulars who helped make this day go with a 'swing'.
Sandra Scott, community fundraiser for the hospice which will soon be moving from its premises in Hatch Lane to a new site at Bray Lake, has written to Mr Murphy to thank him.
She said: "It costs £8million every year to keep our hospice running.
"Thames Hospice is only able to be here because of the support of people like you. We rely on the community for the funds we have to raise to provide our services free of charge, 365 days a year."
The hospice's new headquarters will open next year.
