The year is 1585 and a Justice of the Peace commissioned by Queen Elizabeth I has arrived to hold court. Come and learn about the intrigues of village life and join in to help decide the rights and wrongs of each case. Has the landlord watered the beer? Will Goodwife Manwood be granted a divorce? Who abducted Widow Besser’s grandson? Will the village scold be sent to the ducking stool? Sassy Stone Age at Eden's Kids Club

Get Lolloping Outdoors

Get the family together to explore Roald Dahl's home village on our guided walks to discover the places that inspired Roald Dahl. On the Village Trail you'll see Danny's dad's petrol pumps (from Danny, the Champion of the World), the house that was the inspiration for Sophie's norphanage in The BFG, Matilda's library and Roald Dahl's grave. On the Countryside Trail you'll explore some of the Chiltern countryside that Roald Dahl loved. Keep your eyes peeled for some familiar insect friends as we hunt for bugs in the woods and the inspiration for Roald Dahl’s first popular book for children, James and the Giant Peach. Oxfordshire Youth Brass Concert

Concert by the Oxfordshire Youth Brass band, a group for young people in the Oxfordshire area aged 9-18. The band will have just completed its annual residential, this year in Marlow, and the concert is a culmination of its work. Good vibes in Marlow! Marlow Jazz Club has just one date in August, Tuesday 13th, but it’s a good one! After a long absence they welcome back the musician widely rated as Britain’s Number One on that rare and beautiful instrument the vibraphone – Anthony Kerr. Belfast-born Anthony came to fame as a member of Georgie Fame’s ‘Blue Flames’ with whom he still occasionally appears, however he is now a major solo talent with a brilliant and melodic four-mallet technique. The Frank Toms Trio will provide the backing and the up and coming local alto player Dan Bowley will sit in on a couple of numbers. Classic Car Show - display of motor vehicles from yesteryear

2019 will see our 11th annual show of classic motor vehicles comprising, in the main, cars manufactured before 1990. The number of vehicles attending has been steadily increasing - in 2018 we saw 140 and almost 400 spectators turned up - both records.
