For this weeks Readers’ Choice feature, we tasked Bucks Free Press readers with nominating the best places to get a kebab in the county.

A staple of many a night out for people, understandably there were a substantial number of nominations. We have compiled the top five below.

1) Hello Boss, High Wycombe: Hello Boss in High Wycombe was the most popular suggestions amongst Bucks Free Press readers. Many positive comments were submitted, including one that read: The only van in Wycombe that I don’t find “a bit hit or miss” is Hello Boss down the side of Morrisons. No excessive grease, crispy salad, fresh bread, made with pride!”

2) Chas’s Kebab, Stokenchurch: Second on our list is in Stokenchurch. Amongst the positive reviews we received, one read: “I would never go anywhere having been to Chas’s Kebab a couple of times recently. The service is always quick, the food always tastes fresh and I think the prices are good considering the taste of the food.”

3) Holmer Green Kebab, Holmer Green: Taking third place on our list is this Holmer Green shop. Popular for a number of reasons, our readers especially praised the quality of the service and the freshness of the meat.

4) Royal Kebab House & Curry Centre, High Wycombe: One of the first kebab shops in High Wycombe, there appears to be a reason why it has been so successful for over 20 years. One reader said: “I ordered food from Royal Kebab House and it arrived very quickly. The food was piping hot and full of flavour and the portion sizes are very generous! Highly recommended.”

5) Fat Joe’s Burgers, Beaconsfield: Finishing off our list is Fat Joe’s in Beaconsfield. One of our readers advised others not to be put off by the somewhat tucked away location of the restaurant. They said: “Although it is a bit out of the way I would never go anywhere else. The staff are kind and friendly and the quality of the food is unmatched.”
