A High Wycombe pet store has raised £1,000 to help stray animals in Sri Lanka.

Jolleys pet superstore in High Wycombe have been raising money for Animal SOS Sri Lanka since July 1 with help from their “fantastic customers”.

The charity uses donations to provide life-saving veterinary care, rehabilitation and refuge for stray animals in Midigama in south Sri Lanka.

In just four weeks they have raised £1000. This has been used to create a container filled with over 825kg of dry dog food, 500 dog food tins, and over 150 blankets, toys, and other supplies ready to be shipped over 5000 miles in August.

The staff are “so grateful” to their customers who have donated money to the cause over the last month and are pleased to have been able to help the charity.
