FRIENDS, family members, police officers and wellwishers of PC Andrew Harper have laid flowers in memory of his life and bravery.

PC Harper was killed at the crossroads between Ufton Lane and Lambsden Hill late last Thursday whilst responding to a burglary.

Since then people have paid their respects to PC Harper by laying bouquets of flowers and letters at the scene.

Reading Chronicle:

One note placed alongside a picture of PC Harper reads: “Harps, I am truly gutted, a great cop, a great man, a great friend. There will always be a part of my heart missing now. RIP mate, love you, Chef, Sarah and Harry x x x”.

Another reads: “Andy, I hope you know we were with you and did our best to look after you. Rest easy now brother, we’ll take it from here. ARV 3”.

This morning (Monday 19 August) police officers gathered to lay flowers and remember their colleague.

Thames Valley Police Bracknell also paid their respects yesterday (August 18).

More than £100,000 has been donated by wellwishers to the family and widow of PC Harper.
