A new tattoo parlour is set to open its doors in Chesham later this year, after the franchise garnered national attention when it appeared on ITV’s Give it a Year.

Manhattan Ink originally planned to move to Chesham in late 2016 – but the deal with the landlord fell through just before the purchase was agreed.

The new store will be located at 19 High Street in Chesham.

The owner of Manhattan Ink, Jamey, told the Bucks Free Press that he feels the town is the perfect location for the expansion.

Jamey said: “After opening Manhattan Ink in Winslow in September 2016 I thoroughly researched local areas for our second branch after our first was such a success.

“We originally had a shop lined up ready for us to expand in late 2016. Unfortunately, the landlord gave the shop to someone else last minute as he didn’t think we were a big enough company at the time, and we've been looking for a perfect shop ever since.

“We were really lucky to find our new shop located at 19 High Street, Chesham, HP5 1BG. I have currently opened and built 6 studios since opening in 2016 and we're putting our all into making our Chesham branch the biggest and best yet.

“With Chesham expanding and getting even bigger we realised now was the right time to come into the high street with our company.

“We've pierced and Tattooed over 20,000 people to date and we can’t wait to become the latest edition to Chesham’s ever-growing high street.”

The chain featured ion the ITV show Give it a Year last year, with renowned businesswoman Karren Brady. Mrs Brady praised the business model, saying: "Manhattan Ink could grow from strength to strength and go as far as we wanted it too."
