High Wycombe's newest supermarket is set to open its doors next month.

Aldi, in Tannery Road, will open to shoppers on September 26 after months of building works.

The new store is being built next to B&Q and Halfords off Gomm Road and will become the town’s second Aldi after the opening of the Baker Street branch in September last year.

The main structure of the building is complete and builders have been working on the inside today.

Signs at the entrance to the store's new car park say it will be open Monday to Saturday from 8am to 10pm and from 10am to 4pm on Sundays.

There has been a major supermarket boom in High Wycombe - with a third Aldi possibly on the cards for the former park and ride site in Cressex after a plan to build a Costco cash and carry fell through.

And Lidl have permission to open their second High Wycombe store on the site of the old Homebase in London Road.
