Marlow Jazz Club have announced two upcoming acts for September.

Their first show during the autumn will see the return of the Rebellion Big Band, with the 17-piece group performing a new selection of classics from the swing era along with several modern compositions.

Accompanying the band will be Louise Cookman, who is best known for performing on the BBC Big Band on Radio 2, and with the Pasadena Roof Orchestra.

A fortnight later on Tuesday, September 24, alto and tenor saxophonist Jean Touissant will be arriving at the Station Approach venue.

The 59-year-old is a prominent name in the jazz industry, with the American musician having released 10 albums during his career.

He began his career studying at the world known Berklee College of Music where he joined the Art Blakelys Jazz Messengers.

After finishing his time with Berklee, he toured New York and then the world with the band, performing at a number of clubs, concerts and festivals.

He continues to tour with various musicians and has also featured on many CDs.

Both concerts will take place at The Royal British Legion Hall with tickets costing £10.
