An appeal has been launched to track three men who crashed a car in Little Chalfont as they attempted to flee police officers who were investigating an earlier robbery on Friday in Chesham.

At around 12.45pm, three men were seen in the back garden of a house with ladders in Botley Road, Chesham. They were disturbed and left the property in a grey BMW 1 Series.

The BMW was picked up by police when it was in Woodside Road, Amersham. The driver failed to stop for officers and was seen driving dangerously at speed.

The vehicle was subsequently involved in a crash with a Renault in White Lion Road, Little Chalfont. No one was injured in the crash.

The three men in the vehicle fled the scene in to a near-by wooded area.

Jewellery and small electronic items, believed to have been stolen from a property in Church Grove, Little Chalfont, earlier in the day, were seized from the vehicle.

The three men are described as white and wearing smart clothing which included white t-shirts.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Mark Banham said: “I would like anyone who witnessed this incident or has information that could help with this investigation to come forward.
