Wycombe District Council deals with thousands of planning applications every year.

They range from house owners wanting to build an extension to new homes, shops, businesses and even chopping down trees.

Here are five of the best projects announced from last week - the council will now consider whether each should go ahead.

1) 74 Booker Lane, High Wycombe – A certificate of lawfulness has been submitted to allow the proposed existing commercial garage to be used as a food preparation.

If the proposal is granted, the site will also see an extractor installed on the site.

2) Fleet House, 9 Buckingham Place, High Wycombe – This site could see a change of use if proposals submitted last week is approved.

An application has been submitted to change the use of the existing building (currently offices) to dwelling houses to allow the creation of eight new flats on the site.

3) Phoenix House, Desborough Park Road, High Wycombe – Similar to above, a proposal has been submitted which could see the creation of 21 new apartments in High Wycombe.

Phoenix House currently is occupied by offices but could be converted into apartments if approval is granted.

4) 10 Crossfield Road, Princes Risborough: A plan has been submitted by a householder to remove the existing conservatory at the property.

This is to allow the householders to construct a new single storey rear extension and loft extension, which includes the removal of a chimney stack, insertion of a new rooflight and widening of a vehicular access gate to allow an additional parking space.

5) 91 High Street, Marlow: Marlow’s High Street may look slightly different if this proposal is granted.

Plans have been submitted to allow the display of one externally illuminated fascia sign, one externally illuminated projecting sign and one non-illuminated awning displaying cafe name, logo and details.
