A SHOW home will open on Saturday, September 14 to showcase four ultra modern newly built houses on the edge of Wycombe town centre.

The gated South View development is three minutes’ walk from the train station, five minutes from the town centre.

Hazlemere-based developer Magnacrest has used the lie of the land at the Rectory Avenue site to capitalise on the far-reaching views. It’s one of the best residential areas in Wycombe.

The three storey cedar-clad houses are glazed from floor to ceiling on each level at the back to make the most of the setting overlooking treetops and woodland.

Magnacrest was established by Wycombe builder Gavin Pond 25 years ago to concentrate on the upper end of the market.

Two houses he built next to the Royal Grammar School soon after the company was formed won the Malcolm Dean Design Award, Wycombe District Council’s accolade named after a former council architect for outstanding design.

Following that, the Hazlemere firm built small developments in North London until the site in Rectory Avenue tempted the builder back to his home town.

When the scheme got the go-ahead in 2017 the developer told the Free Press: “It has taken more than 15 years to get this together.”

The four houses have an open plan living area at garden level and four bedrooms and four bathrooms spread over the two upper floors. Each of the upper floors has a balcony and there’s a terrace where the living area opens onto the great outdoors.

Prices range from £1.15m. Keegan White is the agent. For an appointment to view the show home on September 14 call Lenny White or Nik Keegan on 01494 417007.
