Wycombe District Council deals with thousands of planning applications every year.

They range from house owners wanting to build an extension to new homes, shops, businesses and even chopping down trees.

Here are five of the best projects announced from last week - the council will now consider whether each should go ahead.

1) Cruachan, Sandpits Lane, Tylers Green: This household in Tylers Green have applied to convert the detached rear garage and garden shed.

The owners want to change the rooms into a garden studio, gym, sauna and summer house.

The proposal also includes the insertion of 11 rooflights.

2) 26 School Close, High Wycombe: An application has been sent to construct a single storey extension to the rear of the property.

The purpose of this will be to allow the house to use the extension as an orangery, encompassing a new door in the existing opening to front elevation and new double doors to the rear elevation.

3) 1 Oakfield Road, Bourne End: The current vehicle repair garage on the site could be removed in order to build a replacement.

If approved, the replacement building will be a car spray workshop, complete with associated storage.

4) 7 The Brackens, High Wycombe: Another household has applied to construct a new two storey side extension, a single storey front extension complete with the associated alterations to the entrance area.

If the proposals are agreed, there will also be an erection of a double garage to the front of the property with a workshop and store over – as well as external alterations including retaining walls.

5) Wind In The Willows, Donkey Lane, Bourne End: A house has applied to construct a summer house, complete with timber decking, on this property in Bourne End.
