Some unattractive containers at a popular park have been given a stunning makeover.

High Wycombe Rugby Club's green storage containers at Kingsmead Recreation Ground have been brightened up and given a spectacular makeover - with a giant image of a kingfisher and inspirational environmental messages adorning them.

It was part of a collaboration between talented High Wycombe artist Dan Wilson and Chiltern Rangers, as well as teenage volunteers.

The project saw 20 young people helping to make a difference at the park on Thursday, August 29, clearing polluting rubbish out of the river, chopping back hedgerows and assisting Dan with creating the eye-catching artwork.

High Wycombe Rugby Club is said to be thrilled with the work.

Dan is well-known for creating incredible artwork around the town - he is responsible for the Brunel shed mural at High Wycombe Railway Station, the red lion painting in the underpass next to Bucks New University and the colourful new artwork on Collins House in Desborough Road.
