Thames Path Challenge

Follow England's greatest river on the Thames Path Challenge. Most will walk it, many will jog it, some will run it, and all will have a special reason to push themselves. Ladies Only Triathlon

Partnered with British Triathlon, Active in the Community deliver Go Tri events across Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire, to provide an opportunity for everyone to give a Tri a try. These events are done on a small-scale to ensure that fun is kept at the centre of our attention. The distances are achievable (yet more challenging than they may sound!), with a low entry cost that makes it more accessible than many of the alternative triathlons available elsewhere. This event is tailored for ladies aged 15+ who want to take their first steps into the sport of Triathlon, without the pressure of high numbers of competitors along with shorter distances. This event comprises of 3 disciplines, a 300m swim (12 lengths) in an indoor heated swimming pool, followed by a 1.5k (1 lap) off-road ride through woodlands and finishing with a 2k run (2 laps) across flat grassland. Tudor Fayre

The Tudor Fayre is a historical feast for all your senses. The story of the Terrible Tudors will be brought to life in the Museum gardens by the talented crew of Unbound Theatre and joining them in the garden, are the brilliant Aylesbury Academy of Arms. Inside, you can meet King Henry VIII, Ann of Aragon, a navigator, confectioner, spinner, musicians and engineers. This year it is the 500th anniversary of the death of Leonardo da Vinci. Leonardo`s Engineers will be bringing several of his inventions for you to see, including his portable bridge, gun carriage, and diving suit. The West Wycombe Chamber Music Festival

This concert forms part of the West Wycombe Chamber Music Festival 2019. The Festival, now in its ninth year, was created by artistic director Lawrence Power, the internationally acclaimed viola player, who grew up in the High Wycombe area. Every year the Festival brings musicians of the very highest international calibre to the intimate setting of St Lawrence's Church in West Wycombe to entertain our audiences. Programme includes George Benjamin Viola Viola, Garth Knox Duo for Viola and Viola d’Amore, Mendelssohn String Quintet No 2 Op 87, and Beethoven string quintet Op 29. The concert will finish at 9.30 but at 10 p.m. there will be an additional 'Postlude' surprise performance given by all the performers which concert goers can attend free of charge.
