REPORTS of a dispute emerged this week between two local cricket clubs after claims that visiting players defecated in their dressing room following a defeat.
Chesham recorded a six wicket victory over Burnham on July 20.
According to national reports in The Sun, volunteers had to work ‘through the night’ to clean up the mess in the changing rooms, which allegedly had been covered in excrement.
The claims have ‘been ‘categorically denied’ by Burnham Cricket Club.
Chairman Shaid Nadeem told the Free Press: “It did not happen. That’s all I can say, as a result of the the rules and regulations of the league.”
League chairman Martin Phillips said “the league will not be commentating” on the claims.
Chesham Cricket Club were approached for comment but has not yet responded.
