A High Wycombe office building could be turned into flats.

Initial plans to turn Phoenix House on Desborough Park Road into 21 one-bedroom flats have been put in to Wycombe District Council.

London-based developer, Montreaux Ltd, says the office building - which is currently home to a number of telecommunications companies - is the perfect location for a new block of flats.

Back in August 2018, prior approval was granted for 24 flats on the site, but those plans have been overhauled and scaled down.

A report written up by Glanville Consultants on behalf of the developers says that being just one kilometre from the centre of town means residents would be able to benefit from access to a "wide range of shops, services, employment opportunities and healthcare facilities within an easy walking distance."

A traffic study also found that the building's current use as an office generates a total of 176 traffic movements to and from the site each day between 7am and 7pm, but this would decreased to 74 if it was a block of flats.
