High Wycombe Morrisons to offer up café as free meeting spot for local community groups.
The Morrisons located on Temple End, will now be letting groups such as book clubs, charities, and new parents’ groups, book their facilities for free.
Tables of 20 can be booked through community champion.
Head of Morrison’s Café, Helen Tordoff, said: “We’ve seen more groups use our café spaces as meet up areas so we’re delighted to formalise the offering and make it even easier for local communities to come together over a cup of tea and great food.”
This initiative comes after certain community groups struggled to deal with the increasing cost of local centres which can cost around £20 an hour.
Member of Horsforth Craft Group, Rachel Taylor, said: “Some community centres can be tricky to book as costs can be quite high and there is limited availability.
“Our local Morrisons café is perfect as it is free to book and there’s always good food and drink available.
“We meet there regularly to create our craft masterpieces and would encourage any other clubs to consider Morrisons as an affordable and pleasant place to meet.”
Meet up areas will be available in Morrisons High Wycombe Café between 9:00am to 11:00am, and 2:00pm until café closing.
