Multiple incidents have been reported during the Monday morning rush hour, causing traffic chaos for commuters.

Two lanes have been closed on the M40 with queueing traffic for nine miles due to emergency repairs on M40 Southbound between J2 A355 (Beaconsfield) and J1A (M25 Interchange).

The congestion is currently back to J3 (Loudwater), through Gerrards Cross on the A40 and the A413 through Chalfont St Giles. Lanes three and four (Of four) remain closed as barrier repairs continue following an earlier accident around 01:00.

The traffic lights at a busy junction in High Wycombe have stopped working, leading to delays towards the town centre.

Traffic has been building at the junction of Gomm Road and London Road as a result.

Four-way lights have continued to cause traffic misery this morning in Loudwater on the roundabout connecting Station Road, Boundary Road and Treadaway Hill.

There are also a large amount of congestion on the A40 London Road in Beaconsfield, the A355 Gore Hill in Amersham and the A4094 in Wooburn.
