This years Amersham Heritage Day was another huge success, with hundreds of local residents enjoying the annual celebration celebrating the culture of the historic town.

There was something for everyone at this year’s event which was held on Sunday 8 September.

A classic car show displayed vintage vehicles from decades gone by, including a particularly striking Routemaster bus.

Other attractions included live music held at The Eagle, where Lou’s Sextet Jazz Band and the Buckinghamshire Band played.

Guided walks throughout the town were held throughout the day, giving an insight into the history and development of the town.

Other attractions included food and drink stalls, Morris dancers, an open building at Amersham Museum and an animal petting zoo.

Deputy Mayor Cllr Mimi Harker OBE said: “Congratulations to Amersham Town Council for a fantastic event!

“Every year it seems to get bigger and better and the reputation it has built means that people come from far and wide. Well done everyone for a fantastic day.”
