An appeal has been launched to find a man who went missing yesterday.

Steve Cholerton, who is 52-years-old, was last seen at his home in Raans Lane on Tuesday (September 10) at around 5pm after leaving to take his dog for a walk.

Steven is a white man, around 5ft 9ins tall and of stocky build. He has short dark brown hair, but balding slightly, and a short beard.

He was wearing a black hooded ‘The North Face’ jacket over a bright green t-shirt, black jeans and black trainers.

His dog is a brown cocker spaniel.

A police search began on Tuesday evening, with helicopters searching for Steve throughout the evening.

Steve and his fiancé Gemma are due to be married this weekend.

Investigating officer PC Lucie Hywood, based at Amersham police station, said: “We are extremely concerned for Steven’s welfare. We believe he does have access to money, but has not taken his medications with him which he has left at home, and he will now be overdue these.

“Steven’s disappearance is completely out of character – and we are very concerned for him.

“I am urging anybody who believes that they have seen Steven to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 43190280239.

“In an emergency, you can also call 999.

“I am also appealing directly to Steve, if you see this appeal, please contact the police or your family as we want to know that you are safe.”
