A man from Marlow has been jailed for nine years after he was found guilty of sexually assaulting a five-year-old girl on a moving train.

Jason Thick, 49, of Peacock Road, grabbed the child, put her on his lap and began sexually abusing her, the judge heard at Aylesbury Crown Court.

The court then discovered that the predator took the girl off his lap whenever the train stopped at a station, allowed passengers to walk to their seats so he would not be seen, before picking her up and assaulting her when the train started to move.

Following the sentencing on Friday, September 27, Judge Francis Sheridan told him: “You are, without a shadow of a doubt, an offender of particular concern.

“You are a disgusting man actually, putting it bluntly.”

It was then revealed that Thick had sexually assaulted the girl again when she was six-years-old.

The abuse came to light when a friend managed to get the child to reveal what had happened to the police.

Judge Sheridan told Thick: “You’re heading down the age, not up and that makes you a real concern.

“You continue to be a menace to little children.

“The only difference between these offences and the earlier one is that you are now going for younger children who cannot understand what you are doing.”

Thick was jailed for two counts of sexual assault of a child under 13 by penetration, was placed on the sex offenders' register and was given a sexual harm prevention order.

It was also revealed that Thick, when aged 26, had been convicted of having a sexual relationship with a girl under the age of 16.
