Wycombe District Council deals with thousands of planning applications every year.

They range from house owners wanting to build an extension to new homes, shops, businesses and even chopping down trees.

Here are five of the best projects announced from last week - the council will now consider whether each should go ahead.

1) 3 & 4 Roundhill Cottages, Kimblewick Road, Kimblewick - An application for the two existing cottages will be demolished and two new two-storey houses will be erected with access and parking. The new houses would the have four bedrooms instead of one, and would keep vehicular access from the Kimblewick Road.

2) 2 Cutlers Farm, Marlow Road, Lane End - Proposals to build a single storey front, side and rear extension as well as a garage conversion to create habitable accommodation, and a loft conversion.

3) 32 Willow Crescent West, New Denham - Application for the demolition of bungalow and construction of two detached chalet style bungalows, one existing vehicular access removed and landscaped over and new vehicular access created. The two new bungalows will be three-bedroom properties.

4)Land at rear of and adjacent to 212 Chartridge Lane, Chesham - A proposal for the construction of two detached dwellings. The 2 new houses will have similar designs to those surrounding and the plan states how they would positively impact the economy and provide more accommodation in a popular area.

5) Snells Wood, Cokes Lane, Little Chalfont - Plans to install a boardwalk made from recycled plastic material along the route of an existing informal footpath through Snells Wood from the car park to the access road to Dr Challoners High School. The path will create a new walking space will little impact to the environment due to being made out of recycled materials.
