A popular road just outside Little Marlow was shut over the weekend causing diversions and major traffic delays.

Sheepridge Lane, which is in-between Marlow Road and Heath End Road were shut throughout Saturday, October 5 and Sunday, October 6 for resurfacing works.

In a letter written by Transport for Buckinghamshire at the end of September which was sent to the residents in the affected areas, it was also confirmed that the carriageway of Marlow Road in Bourne End will be closed from Monday, September 30 for up to nine nights.

Additionally, the letter also confirmed that the works will take place 70m West of Sheepridge Lane through to Blyton House Retirement and Living which includes work being done at the roundabout in Sheepcote Lane.

The roads will be closed from 7pm to 6am until October 9 for the roundabout to be resurfaced.

Readers on social media shared their frustration with one person explaining that the diverted traffic on Winchbottom Lane on Saturday was ‘dreadful’.

Following the closure of Sheepridge Lane over the weekend, roads such as Dawns Hill Lane and Heath End Road were heavily affected and caused major delays due to diverted traffic.
