Manchester United have confirmed they have acquired the services of Michelin star chef Tom Kerridge.

Kerridge, who owns two critically acclaimed pubs in Marlow, as well as his Bar & Grill in London, will have his food served across a range of areas at Old Trafford, which will see his signature pies being available to purchase at the club’s kiosks.

This comes after Tom will be opening his first Manchester outpost, The Bull & Bear, within the city’s Stock Exchange Hotel this November.

The popular chef will also design the menu and personally oversee every aspect of service delivery for a number of games in No.7 at Old Trafford, the club's most premium Matchday VIP experience, starting with the game the Red Devils' next Premier League match on Sunday, October 20, against top-of-the-table Liverpool.

Manchester United’s chief operating officer, Collette Roche said: “We are hugely excited to have Tom on board to further enhance the matchday experience for our supporters, across both general admission and hospitality areas.

“Tom is a huge Manchester United fan and is passionate about delivering great food for all visitors to Old Trafford, which is important to us.

“We know how sought-after Tom is and believe his award-winning food will be a fantastic addition that has the potential to transform the offering at Old Trafford on an even bigger scale over time.”

Tom then added: “Having been a Manchester United fan all my life, it has been a dream of mine to work with this special club since I became a chef, and I’m thrilled to now be doing so.

“It will take a bit of getting used to not being in my usual seat in the ground on a matchday, but I can’t wait to get started and for fans to enjoy my food.

“I hope this collaboration is just the beginning.”

As well as being an avid fan of the 20 title English league champions, Tom is also a season-ticket holder at Marlow Football Club.

Man United are currently having their worst start to a league season since 1989, where they have only picked up nine points from their first eight league matches.

They have won only two league matches this season.
