Thames Valley Police have confirmed that a body was found earlier this morning in a layby on the A404.
A Thames Valley Police spokesperson said: "Officers were called to a layby on the A404, at around 10.25am this morning (9/10) after the body of a man was discovered.
UPDATE - A404 - Police and forensic officers still on the scene after body found
"South Central Ambulance Service was also in attendance and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
"The death is currently being treated as unexplained.
"Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting reference URN 387 9/10."
A cordon was put in place between Burchetts Green and Temple on the Wycombe-bound carriageway earlier today.
