Students at Sir William Borlase's Grammar School held a successful choir night at the town’s All Saint Church, in aid of several Marlow-based causes.

Organised by the Marlow Rotary Club, more than 80 students from the school took part where well-known hymns and songs from decades gone by were showcased at the High Street venue.

Lance Slater, who is a member of the Marlow Rotary Club said: “The whole evening was an incredible spectacle.

“A massive well done to the students who took part as they were fantastic.

“Every single one of them performed wonderfully well and to see so people in attendance and enjoying the event was great to see.”

The event took place on Saturday, October 5 with more than 200 tickets being sold and £1,000 being raised on the night.

The money will go towards several Marlow Rotary Club based causes, which include organising the young carers day and the elderly citizens' boat trip for next year.

The next major event to take place in Marlow will be the town’s Christmas Light Switch On which will take place on Thursday, November 21.
