Chesham Youth Council will hold another litter pick following the success of the event last year.
Members of the Youth Council have voted to do the litter pick in the town centre on November 30 at 10:00am.
The council hope to raise awareness of the issue as well as giving younger people in the community more of a voice.
Lizzie Maddern, Chair of the Youth Council, said: “For so many people in Chesham, but particularly younger people, our local environment is a real concern.
“Regular litter picks like the one we will be doing on Saturday 30th November is just one way that we can make a contribution.
“I hope people will show their support and join us on Saturday.”
The Youth Council was set up over a year ago by local councillors Joseph Baum and Emily Culverhouse who continue to support their work.
Cllr Joseph Baum said: “Whenever I talk to people about the problems facing Chesham, someone almost always mentions the state of our town centre - the litter, the graffiti and the general lack of pride in our area.
“By doing some simple things we can make Chesham a better place for everyone and that's why it’s great that our Youth Council have chosen to take the lead.”
