Police have launched a manhunt after a man was kidnapped and attacked in High Wycombe.

On Tuesday morning at around 12.30am, an 18-year-old man was forcibly walked into a wooded area near to Plomer Green Lane in Downley.

He was then attacked by two men. He sustained cuts and grazes to his face but fortunately did not require hospital treatment.

The first is mixed race, aged between 19 and 20 years' old, around 5ft 10ins tall of medium build. He was wearing a grey tracksuit and hooded jacket.

The second is mixed race, aged between 19 and 20 years' old, around 6ft tall of medium build. He was wearing a green tracksuit with a black parka jacket over the top.

Officers would also like to trace a car which may have been involved. The vehicle was a rose gold Peugeot 208.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Caroline Timmis of Force CID in High Wycombe, said: "I would like to speak to anyone who knows what happened near Plomer Green Lane during the early hours of Tuesday morning.

"We would particularly like to trace the vehicle mentioned.

"Anyone with information relating to this incident is asked to call the non-emergency number 101, using the reference, 43190304283.
