One of the three victims of an alleged bleach attack in Chesham is ‘still receiving treatment’ for his injuries more than a week after the incident.
Earlier this month on October 5, three people were injured after they reportedly came into contact with bleach following a town centre fight.
One of the victims, a 34-year-old man, was taken to Stoke Mandeville Hospital with injuries to his eyes.
Today, Thames Valley Police have confirmed that the man has been released from hospital but is still receiving treatment for the injuries sustained in the attack.
Fifty-one-year-old Mark Thomas, of The Chase, Chesham, has been charged with three counts of throwing/casting a corrosive fluid with intent to burn/maim/disfigure/disable/do grievous bodily harm.
His trial is due to start on November 4 at Aylesbury Crown Court.
Appearing at Wycombe Magistrates’ Court on October 7, he was released on bail until his crown court appearance, but was ordered not to enter Chesham High Street or Broad Street.
He is also subject to a curfew between 7pm and 7am and must sleep at his home address each night.
