Red Kite have announced that a public consultation will take place in Marlow next week, Tuesday, October 22.

The consultation is in relation to a potential property development on Foxes Piece, where the housing association are hoping to get planning permission to build 12 new apartments on the land, which is currently being used as a private car park for the tenants.

The car park can hold approximately 40 cars.

This is the second time Red Kite have tried to get planning permission at Foxes Piece, but their first attempt was rejected in April 2018 by Wycombe District Council due to ‘parking disbursement and flooding’.

In a letter sent to their tenants, Red Kite said:

"We are writing to let you know that since our last consultation meeting on April 17, 2018, we have now reviewed the development opportunity at Foxes Piece and have designed a new proposed scheme.

"We will now be progressing the design to submit a planning application to build 12 new apartments for affordable rent.

"You are invited to a consultation event at Liston Hall, Chapel Street, Marlow, Sl7 1DD, on Tuesday, October 22 between 5pm-7pm to discuss our future plans for this site.

"Please be aware that there is limited parking allocated for the building, but Liston Road pay and display public car park is located next to Liston Hall.

"We would like you to be involved in this process, so we encourage you to join us on the above date."

This comes a week after we reported that Red Kite had asked its tenants to vacate their garages in Marefield Road by October 28.
