Over forty vehicles were caught in Chesham for tax offences yesterday evening.
In a post shared on social media, Thames Valley Police Chiltern and South Bucks confirmed that they had been working alongside the DVLA carrying out the vehicle checks.
The force also confirmed that “even though a member of the public attempted to ‘tip everyone off’ on social media, it was nice to see this tip didn’t work.”
The post read: “Chesham Neighbourhood Team have been assisting the DVLA again in Chesham.
“Even though a member of the public attempted to "Tip everyone off" on social media, it was nice to see this tip off didn't work.
“Thanks for all your supportive comments Chesham!
“Over 40 vehicles dealt with for tax offences and no insurance. One lucky person will also be getting an early morning wakeup call from us tomorrow for the offence of criminal damage to a DVLA clamp.”
