A HUGE new soft-play centre for babies and young children and a multi-sports pitch have been opened this week inside a popular High Wycombe trampoline park.

Rush trampoline park in Cressex opened up Ruby and Red's, the new centre for children up to 10 and babies, as well as the 'Rush Arena' on October 22.

The soft-play was opened by 10 lucky children who were the winners of a social media competition to be the very first children ever to play on the gigantic space-themed soft-play.

Rush has spent more than £150,000 building the new attraction, which has capacity for more than 100 children.

The soft play centre features two astronauts called Ruby and Red and life-size Ruby and Red mascots will make regular appearances to interact with children.

There is also a new 100-seat café for parents and carers.

Rush CEO Sam Williams said: “As a mum that lives in the local area I know all the pain points associated with soft-play and so have designed Ruby & Red’s to be the best soft-play experience possible for both children and adults.

"Ruby & Red’s will be immaculately clean and our new café features a delicious brunch and lunch menu.

"We will be serving barista coffee and our free parking, free wifi and Sky TV will ensure adults are well looked after while their children play.

"We couldn’t think of a better way to open it than have 10 local children be the very first to get to play on the centre and we are delighted to welcome the lucky winners to the park.”

At the same time, Rush also opened its new multi-sports pitch, called the Rush Arena, which is sponsored by Wycombe Wanderers FC.

The new arena is a sprung floor multi-sports pitch hosting five-a-side football, zorbing football, target games and penalty shootouts.

It comes with a 13.5m air-track sprung floor for tumbling, tricking and gymnastics. Rush will also be running football fitness and target practice sessions and fitness sessions on the pitch.

Ruby & Red’s will be open every day from 9.30am to 6pm (5.30pm on Tuesdays and from 9am in the school holidays and weekends) and families will also be able to book soft-play parties.

There is no charge for adults, and babies under six months go free.

It costs £5 for six month olds up to two years, and £7.50 for children aged two to 10 years.
