One of the biggest names currently on the U.S.A. jazz scene will be coming to Marlow next month, with the Marlow Jazz Club ‘delighted to have secured a date for him to play at the Royal British Legion Hall’.
Greg Abate, famed for his work as a alto saxophonist and flautist, came to fame as lead soloist in the Ray Charles Orchestra, but since going solo he is now considered to be amongst the finest on his two instruments. He has made many award winning recordings, several with the legendary Phil Woods.
The Club’s resident trio of Frank Toms, Elliot Toms and Malcolm Creese are honoured to be playing with this world famous star.
The date is November 19th, with music starting at 8.30pm. Priced at £10 on the door tickets can be booked in in advance by phoning 01628 486571.
