Two presenters form Marlow FM won silver awards at the Community Radio Awards 2019 held at the Memo Arts Centre in Barry on Sunday.
Gemma-Leigh James, who presents Thursday Breakfast show and the Afternoon Gold ‘decades’ show won silver in the best female presenter category.
Gemma’s taken part in many events such as the Marlow Town Regatta, the Carnival and Pub in the Park, as well as interviewing several celebrities such as Russel Brand.
She said: “I’m amazed and honoured. I’ve only been doing radio for a couple of years, and I was up against some real pros.
“I absolutely love what I do, and I’m so proud of what I’ve achieved.”
Sam Sethi won silver in the newcomer category having joined the station in September 2018.
He hosts the weekly technology show, a monthly R&B soul show and works behind the scenes as part of the operations team.
He said: “Being given the opportunity to volunteer on Marlow FM has been a wonderful experience and a total joy.
“This award really encourages me to do even more.”
Both presenters travelled to Wales to collect their awards in person.
