Local councils deal with thousands of planning applications every year.
They range from house owners wanting to build an extension to new homes, shops, businesses and even chopping down trees.
Here are some of the best projects announced from last week - the council will now consider whether each should go ahead.
1) 39 High Street, Princes Risborough: A proposal to change the use of the building from professional services to a drinking establishment. Previously a Natwest the building has been unoccupied for over a year and there’s now plans to re-open as a drinking establishment, despite the George and Dragon another pub recently closing on the High Street.
2) Coppice, Frieth Road, Marlow: An application for a certificate of lawfulness for proposed construction of 4 outbuildings and 3 greenhouses. The 4 outbuildings would all provide different functions, one would be a games room, another a workshop/storage space, another a swimming pool, and finally a home office/gym.
3) Site adjacent to 47 Clonmel Way, Burnham: Application for the erection of two dwellings. These houses will be 3-bed semi-detached properties.
4) Sherwood, Chiltern Hill, Chalfont St Peter, Gerrards Cross: A proposal for the demolition of existing single storey front projection and rear conservatory and construction of a new single storey front extension, single storey rear extension, 1st floor side extension, altered front door position and new associated porch canopy, new side dormer and alterations to the existing side conservatory.
5) Beaconsfield Services, Windsor Road, Beaconsfield: A plan for the installation of six electric vehicle charging points and associated infrastructure. With the use of electric vehicles rapidly increasing it’s no surprise there’s more of a demand for charging points, especially at services where drivers can be travelling long distances.
