The Greyhound in Beaconsfield Old Town is set to reopen headed-up by a husband and wife team.

Daniel Crump and Margriet Vandezande-Crump will re-open the redesigned Greyhound pub and restaurant. The establishment has been closed for a number of months for refurbishment, having been named The Greyhound Enoteca since 2013.

The couple have worked together in some of the UK’s most established restaurants, such as Michelin starred Petrus in Knightsbridge, Restaurant Gordon Ramsay in Chelsea, Trinity in Clapham, and also The Oxford Blue, Old Windsor.

Based in the Grade II listed old Coaching Inn on Windsor End, it has been redesigned, with the couple saying that they have ‘turned the 17th century building into a modern pub and restaurant - paying homage to its historic past.’

An announcement will be made shortly about the new head chef.

Daniel Crump, said: “We are really excited about being in Beaconsfield. It is such an incredible part of the country and home to such a great community.

“The area, and The Greyhound building, has a special charm which we immediately fell for when we first visited. It’s a dream come true and an incredibly proud moment for us both.”

Margriet Vandezande-Crump, added: “We are so pleased to be launching The Greyhound.

”We’re hoping the pub and restaurant will give people a place they can come to enjoy themselves and be comfortable, whether it’s for a delicious meal or for a quick drink.

“That’s why we have developed menus which give people lots of food options, as well as a wine list which is accessible to all.”
