Rennie Grove will be hosting ‘Light up a Life’ services this November and December across Buckinghamshire to help families come together to remember love ones they have lost.

Rennie Grove recognise that the loss of someone close to you can be particularly poignant in the weeks leading up to Christmas and New Year.

These services want to create an uplifting environment to remember those who people have lost.

Lisa Makey, Head of Family Support at Rennie Grove, said: “Please join us at one of our Light up a Life services. They are open to everyone, not just those touched by hospice care.

“At each of our services you can sponsor a light to shine in memory of your loved one. Everyone who sponsors a light will receive a beautiful card that includes a silver “in loving memory” star that you can hang on your own Christmas tree.

“Everyone making a Light up a Life general donation will receive a card too.”

Each service will be slightly different, but most will include traditional carols and readings, and the chance to light a candle.

The Rennie Grove ‘Light up a Life’ services will be taking place at the following:

• Flackwell Heath, November 17, 6:30pm, Christ Church.

• Princes Risborough, November 24, 4:00pm, Duke Street Gardens (The Princes Risborough service is organised on behalf of the local community by the Rotary Club of Princes Risborough. All dedications made on Rotary dedication forms will appear on the dedication boards displayed close to the Tree of Light. Dedications made direct to Rennie Grove Hospice Care can be included by contacting David Griggs on 01844 345554.)

• Prestwood, November 28, 7:30pm, Prestwood Village Hall.

• Beaconsfield, December 1, 4:00pm, St Mary’s and All Saints Church.

• High Wycombe, December 8, 3:15pm, Union Baptist Church.

Rennie Grove Hospice Care give children and adults with life limiting illnesses the choice to live as well as possible at home surrounded by friends and family, and the things that are most important to them right until the end.
