Thames Valley Police have released an image of a man they would like to talk to after a man attempted to pull a 15-year-old girl from her horse, as well as hitting the animal with his dog lead.

At around 4.30pm on October 22 the victim was riding her horse through Captain’s Woods in Chesham.

A man then approached her and shouted that she should not be there.

The girl then apologised and attempted to leave the area, but the man hit the back of her horse with a dog lead and took her horse’s reins while continuing to shout.

He then grabbed the victim and tried to pull her from the horse. Although she lost balance, she did not fall off.

The victim then became aware of another woman walking her dog through the field and the man then ran off.

Fortunately, the 15-year-old was not injured during this incident.

Investigating officer PC Patrycja Lesiakowska, based at Amersham police station, said: “I am releasing this image as I believe this man may have vital information about the incident.

“This incident has left the victim feeling very shaken and I am keen to hear from anyone who has any information or who recognises this man.”
