The Green Party candidate who will stand in Beaconsfield in the upcoming general election has been announced.

Zoe Hatch, from Taplow, is a married mum of two who runs singing workshops, alongside her work campaigning for the environment. She also devotes time to educational charities for children.

Mrs Hatch said that she aims to ‘stand up for her community in such a divided time’.

Zoe said: “As a Green MP I would proudly represent all my constituents, both Leavers and Remainers, and fight for us all to have a final say on any deal to leave the European Union with a People’s Vote.

“Westminster’s last crop of MPs have failed us all on Brexit. Like so many of us, I’m fed up.

"We need a radical new politics and the Green Party can offer that.

“I am honoured to stand as a candidate for the Green Party. I believe that people care about the environment and social justice issues and want to secure a better future for their children, but they feel disenfranchised and powerless.

“There is a widespread belief that politics does not have their interests at heart.

“My work in the community is driven by a desire to advocate for those who don’t feel able to speak for themselves. As a Member of Parliament, I will do all I can to stand up for the environment and social justice and work towards a better future for everybody.”

“We are witnessing a very worrying decline in our environment, oceans, and air quality. We desperately need a Green New Deal to address climate chaos, prioritise renewables and public transport and to deliver a better way of life.

“Our planet needs people in power who recognise that we are living in a climate emergency and are dedicated to taking action.”
