The Green Party have revealed that they will give up their candidate space for their Buckingham seat after agreeing a pact with the Liberal Democrats.
The agreement is part of a deal to try and have a clear 'Remain' vote in this year’s general election, according to Lib Dem leader, Jo Swinson.
Both the Green Party and the Liberal Democrats had already declared candidates for the Buckingham constituency.
The Conservative, Labour and Brexit Parties have all also put forward candidates.
The deadline for nominations is next Thursday.
This comes a month after the Beaconsfield Liberal Democrat announced that they will be supporting Dominic Grieve as an independent candidate
The party claimed that the decision to support the former Conservative MP, who is now sitting as an independent, has not been taken lightly – but they see it as their best chance of ‘gaining a Peoples Vote.’
