Anyone heading down the M40 this month is likely to have seen a poignant new display of soldiers standing tall on the hillside.
A total of 101 6ft-tall soldier silhouettes have been erected overlooking the M40 at the Aston Rowant Nature Reserve in memory of those who lost their lives during World War One and Two.

The stunning display has been masterminded completely voluntarily by Dan Barton and includes 101 silhouettes commemorating the end of WW1 and 75 poppy wreaths to commemorate the end of WW2.
Hundreds of visitors have flocked from all over to visit the moving display, which first appeared on November 6.
It will stay for around two and a half weeks until November 24.

Dan is hoping to raise vital cash for The Royal British Legion, which delivers vital care and services every day in support of serving members of the Armed Forces, veterans and their families.
