TEN-mile queues were reported on the M6 after a crash this morning, Tuesday.
A car was left on its side after the collision northbound between junctions 21 at Woolston and 21A at Croft at 8.10am.
The collision took place between a heavy goods vehicle and a small car.
Fire crews from Warrington and Lymm were called but nothing was on fire and no-one was trapped in the car, which was on its side on the hard shoulder.
A slip road was closed by Highways England as emergency services worked at the scene.
Firefighters assessed a female casualty, who was then treated by paramedics.
Firefighters were in attendance for more than 15 minutes.
One lane was closed until 1,40pm while repairs were made to the barrier in the central reservation.

Delays were back to junction 19 at Knutsford but traffic has now returned to normal.
