Kanwal Toor has been named as the Conservative prospective parliamentary candidate for Slough in the forthcoming General Election.

She says her top priorities are getting real investment in policing to reduce crime, supporting Boris Johnson to get a Brexit deal sorted and lobbying to get High Street regeneration in Slough.

She said: "I am delighted to have been selected - and very look forward to starting the work straight away. Slough has clearly had enough of Labour taking it for granted.

"Along with the strong Conservative Association team I will be working hard to deliver a stronger, safer and more prosperous town for residents."

Slough Conservative Association chairman Lee Pettman said: "Kanwal is the perfect antidote to years of failure by Labour in Slough."

He accused her Labour opponent Tan Dhesi, who hopes to be reelected as MP, of having a 'narrow and divisive agenda'.
