Road rage frustrations are "boiling over" as shoppers face long jams trying to get out of the car park after visiting High Wycombe's newest Aldi supermarket.
One High Wycombe resident said he was "verbally abused and threatened" in the "chaos" at the weekend as High Wycombe drivers are faced with long delays trying to get out onto the London Road after shopping at the Aldi off Gomm Road.
Ken Dyer, who lives on Cock Lane, said: "High Wycombe have created a monster.
"Since the opening of the new food store and hardware warehouse off Gomm road, this area of road has become so congested that tempers and frustrations are boiling over at weekends as cars cannot get in or out of the retail area.
"As a local resident of Cock Lane I was verbally abused and threatened in the chaos this weekend."
Other drivers reported queuing for more than 20 minutes trying to get out of the car park, which is the car park for the existing shops including Halfords and B&Q.
Mr Dyer has urged Bucks County Council to do something to resolve the "weekly gridlock" that has been created since Aldi opened at the end of September.
Bucks County Council and Wycombe District Council have both been approached for comment on the situation.
