A woman in her eighties was struck by a car last Thursday, leaving her with serious leg injuries.
At around 12pm on Thursday, the woman was hit by a blue Fiat Punto in Berryfield Road, Aylesbury.
She was taken to John Radcliffe Hospital where she remains in a stable condition. The Punto driver was not injured.
Investigating officer PC John Belson of the Roads Policing Unit at Amersham, said: “I am appealing for witnesses or anyone with dash-cam footage to get in touch.
“It was the middle of the day so the incident could be on CCTV in the area too.
“If you saw what happened please contact Thames Valley Police on the non-emergency number 101 or make a report online by quoting URN 502 (14/11).
“You can also make a report online to the independent charity Crimestoppers, 100% anonymously by calling 0800 555 111.”
