TOP comedian Ed Byrne will delight Bucks audiences at three separate shows in High Wycombe and Aylesbury next year.

Following his biggest ever tour last year and another sell-out Fringe run this August, one of the UK’s finest observational comics is preparing to embark on an even bigger new tour - and has announced another extension for 2020.

Ed will bring his tour to the Aylesbury Waterside Theatre on Friday, February 28, and the Wycombe Swan the next day, Saturday, February 29.

He will also bring his show back in the summer, with a date at the Swan on Sunday, June 28.

The show - called If I’m Honest - will see Ed, 47, take a long hard look at himself as he tries to decide if he has any traits that are worth passing on to his children.

A TV household name, Ed has been seen on pretty much every TV programme in the UK - including Mock The Week, Top Gear, Have I Got News For You, The Graham Norton Show, Live At The Apollo (Host), The One Show, The World’s Most Dangerous Roads, Dara & Ed’s Big Adventure, Dara and Ed’s Road to Mandalay and most recently QI and The Pilgrimage.

The Irish comedian is well-known for his observational comedy and social satire, which he has been honing since he first got into the industry while at university.

While studying horticulture at the University of Strathclyde, he was made entertainments convener at the students’ union in his second year.

Ed started a comedy night called The Comedy Cellar in the basement of the 13th Note pub on Glassford Street, Glasgow, and he appeared on the bill for the first night.

Months later, he had given up studying and moved to London to get onto the comedy circuit.

After building up his act on observational comedy, Ed was nominated for the prestigious Perrier Comedy Award at the 1998 Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
