A new hub for Arriva passengers has opened inside High Wycombe's bus station.

The customer advice centre has now thrown open its doors inside the bus station at Eden Shopping Centre.

It was officially opened on Thursday, November 14, in a special ceremony with drinks and a cake.

Amanda Covington and Paul Goodwin from Bucks County Council, Melanie Williams from HWBIDCo, Jennie Le Fevre, Andrew Norton and John McCormack from the Eden management team and volunteer Damian Blake joined Arriva’s local sales team and senior management from the High Wycombe depot to formally cut the ribbon as the shop welcomed its first customers.

The new shop is designed to be a hub for all customer information, whether people want to purchase tickets, get advice on timetables or routes, or book journeys or trips in advance.

Simon Finnie, area managing director for Arriva Midlands (South), said: “Our customers are at the heart of everything we do, and we are relishing the opportunity to work alongside them, face to face, to ensure that we are doing everything we can to make their journey with Arriva the easiest and most affordable it can be.

“The new Arriva Travel Shop will offer everything our passengers need to get on board - from tickets and timetables, advice and support, to snacks and refreshments, and all served with a friendly smile.

"We really believe it will make a huge difference to bus users locally, and we hope, will encourage more people to give us a try.”
