Old Amersham’s Christmas lights will be switched on this December 6, along with a variety of festive entertainment and activities.
The event is organised annually by the Old Amersham Business Association and The Amersham Society, in support of the charity Scannapeal.
Former MP for the area, Dame Cheryl Gillian, will switch on the lights at 6pm.
This will be followed by school children, the scouts and assorted choirs and musicians singing carols around the Christmas tree.
Other attractions on the evening will include Santa’s Grotto and his reindeer and a skating rink.
The shops will be open late to allow attendees to do some Christmas shopping.
